IGM Gymnastics Girls' Artistic Pre-Team is a fast-track program that develops and prepares young gymnasts to IGM's competitive team. It is designed for talented, young gymnasts with the drive to compete and succeed. Being a part of IGM’s pre-team program is a big commitment. Gymnasts must make a year-round commitment to their gymnastics by attending practice regularly without taking time off for other activities. Athletes must be ready to be challenged more and work at a faster pace. Lastly, it requires the support of the gymnast’s family to meet the time and financial commitments of IGM’s Artistic Team.
Our pre-team program is by invitation only and therefore space is limited. We like our pre-team members to look and feel like a team. For that reason, pre-team members are required to wear the team leotard to every practice.
The Pre-Team program consists of 3 levels: Mighty Monkeys, Dynamites, and Future Stars.
Mighty Monkeys –This program is based on the USAG Levels 1 & 2 curriculums. In Mighty Monkeys we focus on developing strength, technique, flexibility and a passion for gymnastics. Mighty Monkeys are required to practice one time per week, however twice a week is highly recommended.
Dynamites
Dynamites – This program is based on USAG Levels 2 & 3 curriculums. Gymnasts learn skills and drills on floor exercise, balance beam, uneven bars and vault. In Dynamites, we focus on developing confidence and discipline, while continuing to grow the athletes' strength, technique and flexibility. Gymnasts are required to practice twice a week.
Future Stars – This program is based on the USAG Level 3 & 4 curriculum. Future Stars begin preparing skills and routines in order to transition to our competitive team. In Future Stars, we continue to develop confidence and discipline, while growing strength, technique and flexibility. Gymnasts are required to practice twice a week.
